1. About the Service and operator

Bookjab is a personal reading journal where you record your reading time, save quotes that move you, and decorate them to share — for yourself or with others. You can also rate and review the books you read; ratings and reviews may be shown to other users as described in section 3.

2. Accounts

• You must be 14 or older to create an account.
• You are responsible for protecting access to your account.
• Signing up under another person's identity is prohibited.
• Sign-in is provided only through social login (Kakao, Naver, Google, Apple); the Service does not store any password.

3. Your content

• Notes and lines you write are yours, and you retain copyright.
• When you save excerpts of third-party works (book quotes, covers), the original copyright remains with the rightsholder. The Service stores these for your personal use only.
• You are responsible for copyright matters when sharing exports outside the Service.
• Ratings and reviews: the star ratings and reviews you leave on books may be shown to other users within the Service, together with your nickname. Your quotes, notes, and reading log are never made public.
• You grant the Service a non-exclusive license to display and aggregate your ratings and reviews within the Service (for example, average ratings). You keep the copyright to your reviews, you can edit or delete them at any time, and they are deleted when you delete your account.
• You can rate or review a book only after reading it for a minimum amount of time.

4. Prohibited conduct

• Accessing another user's account without permission.
• Unauthorized copying, reverse engineering, or abusive automation.
• Posting or sharing violent, hateful, sexual, or unlawful content.
• Writing inappropriate reviews, such as defamation, personal information, advertising or promotion, or large excerpts of a book's text.

We may hide or remove ratings and reviews that violate this section without prior notice.

5. Changes to the Service

We may modify or discontinue parts of the Service for operational or technical reasons. We will give reasonable notice of material changes.

6. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided 'as is.' We make reasonable efforts to safeguard your device, account, and content, but we are not liable for force-majeure events such as natural disasters or external attacks.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located at the operator's registered address.

8. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. Material changes will be announced at least 14 days before they take effect.
