Delete Your Account and Data

Option 1 — In-app deletion (recommended)

• Open the BookJab app → go to [Account]
• Tap [Delete account] at the bottom
• Confirm → deletion is processed immediately

All data is permanently deleted at once. Re-signing in with the same social account will not restore prior data.

Option 2 — Email request (if the app is not installed)

If the app is not installed or in-app deletion is not possible, please email us to request deletion.

• Subject: [BookJab] Account deletion request
• Include in the body: the email address used at sign-up and the social login provider used (Kakao, Naver, Google, or Apple)

After verifying your identity, we will permanently delete your account and all data within 7 business days and reply to confirm.

What gets deleted

• Account info (social login identifier, email)
• Profile (nickname, gender, age range)
• Reading data (session times, bookshelf, all saved quotes)
• In-app activity logs

Legal retention (exceptions)

The following items are stored separately as required by Korean law and are automatically destroyed when the retention period expires:

• Connection records under the Protection of Communications Secrets Act: 3 months

Backups

Operational backups are retained for 30 days and then permanently destroyed. Within 30 days of your deletion request, every copy is fully removed.
