One light line a day, like a jab.

Record

Stop the timer, and a record remains.

Date, minutes read, book and author on one card. Fill an hour and the open book completes.

Reading time 1h 47m — Project Hail Mary, Andy Weir
Reading time 2h 5m — Atomic Habits, James Clear
Reading time 1h 51m — The Song of Achilles, Madeline Miller

How it works

Three moves are all it takes.

  1. Reading time 1h 34m — Intermezzo, Sally RooneyRecord snapshot
    01Log

    Track the time

Start the timer and open the book. Touch your phone and it stops, so only honest minutes add up.

  2. Saved line

“Books are the treasured wealth of the world and the fit inheritance of generations and nations.”

    Walden·Henry David Thoreau

    02Save

    Keep the line

Drop a line that lands straight into its book. Saved with the page number, ready to pull back up anytime.

  3. Four Thousand Weeks · 1h 43m — Mars from the Psyche spacecraft
    03Share

    Send it out

Lay today's record over your own photo and save it. Clean enough for your story.

The jab is the simplest move in boxing. One on its own changes nothing, so people write it off.

But one, then another. Land enough of them and the opponent who wouldn't budge finally gives. Reading is the same. The page you read today looks like it changed nothing — but while one line stacks onto another, you quietly shift.

Grand resolutions are short.
Small repetitions last.

BookJab is built for stacking those small repetitions.

Features

Marks that add up, made tangible.

01Log

An honest timer

A reading timer that stops the moment you touch your phone. Only the minutes you actually spent in the book add up.

02Stats

Reading stats

See your rhythm by week, month, and year. Your level rises with the hours you've stacked.

03Save

Save your lines

Tuck a line that moves you into its book. Stored with the page number, ready whenever you want it back.

04Decorate

Decorate & share

Records and lines as a card, or as a transparent overlay on your own photo. Clean enough to post straight to your story.

05Quiet

No noise

No one else's feed, no like counts. Just you, your shelf, and your lines.

06Private

Yours alone

We collect as little as possible. Korean and English, synced across devices, deletable whenever you like.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is it free?

Yes. The core — logging your reading, saving lines, and decorating to save — is free. We may later offer some advanced features as paid options, but your everyday logging stays free.

How is reading time measured?

With the in-app timer. It pauses automatically when you leave the screen or close the app, so only the time you actually spent reading adds up.

Where is my data stored?

After you sign in (Kakao, Naver, Google, or Apple), your logs and saved lines are stored securely in the cloud (Seoul region) so you can pick up on any device. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Can I read other people's lines?

No. BookJab is a personal reading journal, and we don't show other users' quotes (to respect copyright). Down the road we may surface aggregate data, like which books get saved most.

Can I use it across devices?

Yes. Sign in with the same account and your logs and lines follow you to any device, syncing automatically.

Do you support languages other than Korean?

Right now, Korean and English. The app follows your device's language setting automatically.
